Heart-Centered Psychotherapy

My approach invites you to come into relationship with your heart, as a vital and sacred complement to your mind.  I work to create the conditions for you to connect with an authentic sense of depth, integrity, vitality, and sacredness within yourself, in relationship with others, and in relationship to the more-than-human-world of nature. I welcome you as a whole and complex person whose symptoms can be heard as meaningful communications about how your life and relationships may need tending, discernment, and deeper conscious awareness or participation.

My integrative approach draws upon depth-oriented, gestalt, and multicultural traditions within psychology, and supports the recovery of connection to aspects of yourself that may be experienced as fragmented, lost, or seeking development in your life.  This is done through creating a safe and confidential space within which you will be challenged to hear yourself more clearly, question the familiar stories you may have developed about yourself, and transform those beliefs and patterns that keep you from your authenticity.

I work with individual adults and children, couples, families, and groups, and see clients experiencing a broad range of concerns, including but not limited to issues of:

Anxiety and Panic
Depression
Grief and Loss
Trauma, including sexual abuse and assault
Refugee and Immigrant Challenges
Combat related and military sexual trauma
Divorce and Separation
Relationship Concerns
Perinatal Loss, Fertility Issues, Post Partum support
LGBTQ Issues
Life Transitions
Spiritual and existential concerns
Experience of Soul Loss
